It has been a great time of transition around here lately.. Third addition to the family is settling in well, the boys are adjusting, my wife and I too! 
Lately, my 3yo has wanted to be sung to sleep, and it more often than not entails repeating the above little kid's song..

Kid's song.  Because as adults, the opportunities to shine are few and far between.. 

I've started to notice it too.  A misguided judgemental comment from someone, well meaning as it might've been.   A leap to an incorrect assumption that has impact beyond the immediate circumstance to which it applied.   The longer reaching consequences of not achieving that light shining out opportunity..  All conspire to dim the glow a little bit each day, and before long we're sitting in the dark wondering how the heck we got here.

We're doing our best here to create a new reality for our 3 little men, and it hasn't been easy.. 

I can only pray the world my boys grow into men in is a bright one that allows them to shine long into their lives..
